Benahavís is a mountain village seven kilometres from the coast, close to Marbella, Estepona and Ronda, and known locally as the dining room of the Costa del Sol.
The Benahavis Hills Country Club sits on a hillside above the village, combining forty luxury villas with a members-only wellness centre - the first two phases of an eventual seven-phase project.
The Country Club
Facilities at the Country Club include outdoor pools for adults and children, a heated indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and spa, an indoor and outdoor gym, and The Hills Café & Restaurant - led by a Michelin-trained chef.
Sale to real estate fund
In 2026 the remaining building rights at Benahavis Hills were sold to a large European real estate fund. The transaction realised a substantial increase on Hunnewell's initial investment and marked a successful exit from the firm's Spanish real estate holding.
