A national building-materials platform
The business operates integrated cement plants at Kaspi and Rustavi, a grinding mill in Poti, a Black Sea cement terminal at Supsa and fourteen concrete batching plants, supplying the majority of Georgia's infrastructure and residential construction demand.
Total annual capacity is in excess of two million tonnes, with a further expansion programme underway.
From joint venture to full ownership
Hunnewell's involvement dates from 2016, when the modernisation of the Kaspi plant began — a roughly US$100 million investment in a new dry-process clinker line, officially opened in February 2019 in the presence of the Prime Minister of Georgia and the Ambassador of Germany.
In 2023 the group acquired HeidelbergCement's remaining shares and rebranded the business as Hunnewell Cement — completing a decade-long transition from joint venture to full ownership of Georgia's leading cement producer.
